About us

About us

In many cultures, and especially in Argentina, the owl is a symbol of knowledge and wisdom. Its imposing gaze, with eyes fixed forward and a 270° vision, makes it a born observer—always watchful, always strategic.

When we decided to open our charcoal grill restaurant, we knew we needed a name that was memorable, authentic, and carried a story that reflected our essence. That’s how El Búho Tuerto was born.

The owl is a warrior of nature, a survivor. The image of a one-eyed owl represents the constant struggle, the ability to adapt, and the resilience to keep going despite adversity. It is a symbol of perseverance, just like those who leave their homeland in search of new opportunities, carrying their roots and passion with them.

At El Búho Tuerto, we honor this struggle with every dish, every burning ember, and every guest who sits at our table. Because, like the owl, we see beyond challenges and believe in the strength to move forward, always with the best vision for the future.

Welcome to our story.
